Interland offers good features and has something for everyone. When compared to other web host they are neither the best nor the worst, but is worth a second look.

Hosting

Interland hosting plans include shared, hosting, dedicated hosting, and VPS hosting.

Shared Hosting

Interland has three shared web hosting plans ranging from $7.95 a month for the Value Pan to $25.45 a month for the Advanced Plan. The Value Plan offers an Apache web server, 1 gigabyte of disk space, 256 gigabytes of monthly transfer, one year free domain, dedicated IP address, 24 hour support, and weekly full backups. The plan also comes with an assortment of special features. This plan would be great for a personal site, however would not work well for the small business because it is not ecommerce ready. The Advanced Plan offers an Apache server, 5 gigabytes of disk space, 500 gigabyte of monthly transfer, one year domain free, dedicated IP address, 24 hour support, and weekly backups. This plan also comes with an assortment of goodies and would be great for any large site.

Dedicated Server Hosting

There are five dedicated server plans ranging from the Business at $299.95 to the Elite which one must call to get pricing on. That doesn’t sound good to me. If they can’t put the price on their web page there must be a reason and the package beneath the Elite is $939.95 a month. The business plan offers a Linux or windows operating system, P4 3.0 gigahertz, 1 gigabyte of RAM, 2x250 gigabytes SATA, RAID 1, 1TB data transfer, and Gold Choice. The call for what you know is going to be an insanely high price Elite Plan offers an IBM series Xseiries, a Quad 3.0 gigahertz Xeon XP, 4 gigabytes of RAM, 6x73 gigabytes of SCSI, RAID 5, 3 TB data transfer, and Gold Support.

VPS Hosting

Interland offers two plans for VPS serving, the Standard Plan and the Root Plan. The standard plan offers 1 gigabyte of disk space, 30 gigabytes of data transfer, up to 30 virtual host, My SQL database, shell access, 1 IP address, 24 hour support, full power backup, web based control panel, and 5 FTP Shell users. The plan also comes with an assortment of extra features. The Root Plan offers 2 gigabytes of virtual space, 50 gigabytes of data transfer, up to 50 virtual host, MySQL data base, shell access, 1 IP address, 24 hour support, full power backup, web based control panel, and unlimited FTP shell users.

Interland’s support is great. They offer 24 hour support, online knowledge bank, 30 day money back guarantee, 100% uptime guarantee, and 1 hour server hardware replacement.

Services

Interland offers a wide range of services including a program to drive traffic to your site, an all inclusive ecommerce bundle, web design, domain registration, search engine optimization, marketing tools, ecommerce functionality, and proven online tips for success.

Interland offers good products, great services, and good support. Their prices are reasonable although maybe not the best. Overall Interland is a worth while web host and deserves a second look.
